Past the first bit of uproar, and watches
people stopped looking at my work; or rather, my work didn't live up to the first few bits of hype.
Within a few months everything died down.
I'm sad, that's for sure. But it didn't hurt as much as I thought it did.It's just.. flipping over a new page.
I leave it open, mainly because I think that it's still part of who I am as a photographer. It's just that I'm in a new phase and the new account reflects that; that my work isn't just good for... how do you say.. one-hit wonders.

oh wow, you have some good reasons to start a new account. i'm just not sure if i have the right reasons to start a new account. i want to get more "known" here on DA but i'm not sure if starting a new account is the answer, it means all of my hard work that i've put in so far will have been lost, but it will also mean my new account will reflect who i am now and what i want people to see

Well, my reasons were exactly the same as yours.
I wanted to get more ''known'' here on DA, and not just be like a, hmm, one-hit photographer. I want to be known for the strength of my work; and hopefully my account now reflects what sort of photographer I am now.
to be honest, I'm not sure how one gets ''known'' as a photographer. X( from what I've observed, they shoot to prominence within a few years because of their work.
Follow your heart? I know it's cliche, but it's sorta like, starting afresh.

true, i just don't want to throw away my account though. my account has a lot of memories if you know what i mean.
and yeah, artists that are "known" usually have really good consistency in their work.

I started this new account 10 months ago, and haven't actually started submitting deviations till now. Take the time to decide?
