In your invitation request you mentioned an idea for making a page that talks about new members. Do you want to elaborate on it? We'd love any suggestions to improve our group.

Well, with most groups/pages/clubs, whatever, I join they have a page specific to New or Future Members, so that they have to read this page BEFORE they submit a request. Typically, it includes RULES, REQUIREMENTS and/or HOW TO JOIN, EXPECTATIONS, so on and so forth. When I was on #ArtistCooperative before I clicked "Join" I had trouble trying to figure out if there was any requirements, or agreements I should have looked through before requesting as you did not have any page that was specifically for joining the group.

That's an excellent idea... I have some stuff written for what we expect from admins, but not new members. I do have some Rules & Guidelines on the front page - do you think they are too difficult to find? Perhaps I could move them to a blog that contains all the information new members need to know... what do you think? I definitely love this idea.

But yeah, It did take me a second. Most groups have trouble with dissobiediant members, so they typically have their New Members info the most noticeable thing on the page, after their deviations. That fact that I had to scroll at all to find it was more work than the majority of the groups. I should clarify though, usually groups have a Table Of Contents (you do have that) at the top, with something like "New Members CLICK HERE!" listed at the top to get peoples attention first, but still be small and subtle enough so that returning members don't get annoyed by it.

O.O If you'd asked me that a couple months ago i would have jumped at the chance, but I don't use dA as much as I used to, and I'm not sure if I'd actually be able to be helpful at all... but if your still willing in... 3 weeks then I might request permission... assuming I still use dA while school starts back up. Other wise I won't ask. Oh, and yeah, if I think of anything I'll be sure to head on over there.

You know, if the position is still open, I think I might want to take you up on the offer for a position with the group. After all, I joined so I can help with giving critiques to people who wanted them, and I've already given ~25 just to submission in your group... so I figure why not be an admin and just make it official? Feel free to check my critiques if you want, just look at almost any of the submission from yesterday to two days ago. There's only 20 more notifications for me to finish sorting through and seeing what I can critique or not, but I at least comment on almost all of them (the pac man cake doesn't quite deserve to be called art, much less get my comment or critique). Ah, now I'm bumbling on again... odd how I'm tired yet can't stop talking/typing. I really should get some sleep, so I'ma save the rest of my notifications until tomorrow... uh, oops, today At least I have fun writing critiques (weird, right?)...

XD Okay! We're actually doing a critique squad thing, I don't remember if I've mentioned it, but check out the thread in the Admin Area just for some info. ^^
There's also some responsibilities & Priviliges outlined, I'm not very strict though, it's basically just do what you can. 
And it's okay. I went to bed at 9 in the morning after staying up all night. Worked 15 hours straight on some art I had to finish... ugh.

Alright, and you really should improve the list of pages, took me a while just to find the rules...
btw, what are my privileges as a contributor? not to sound greedy or anything, I just want to know what I'm allowed to do (both as representing the group and for editing group settings or deviations), so I don't do it on accident and so I can do it if the situation calls for it.

We have a thread in our admin area for Administrator rights, privileges, and responsibilities. It outlines everything each rank can do. Right now, since our group is just getting started, most of the admin ranks share the same responsibilities - to manage the galleries, send invites, etc etc. As we grow, of course the admin ranks will begin to have different, and more, responsibilities.

lol, well mine was made from an old fort design that I used when I was a kid (actually, the name "samous" also came from when I was a kid, lol) and I thought it kinda looked like an A so yeah... but I'll try some generic things with a "T" and a "S" and see where I get.
