I'm going to have to look that character up. I've never heard of Kyou Kara Maoh before. And it sounds like there are a lot of Hetalia meet-ups there in Utah. I haven't really looked into it out here in Chicago, but for as outgoing as I can be ... I'd be really nervous to go to one of those alone out here.
And I'm planning so much cosplay, it's kind of ridiculous. My next two (huge) projects include Toothiana from Rise of the Guardians, and Sesshomaru from Inuyasha.

And yes, I live in Chicago. I go to conventions all around the country, but my family and friends all live back there in Utah, so whenever there's a convention there, I go.

Yeah ... I don't even remember how I heard about ASL. I was just like, "There's a convention going on while I visit? I'm going." I dragged my Prussia outfit with me all over the place last year. lol.
Well, I don't think you're socially awkward either. You definitely don't make my list of "awkward people I'd like to avoid". XD
And you like Inuyasha too? Yay! I feel like the show has been completely forgotten about. Makes me rather sad. Who is your favorite character?
And I did see her at Banzai, I just didn't know it was her! The whole different/new costume thing really throws me off. I've had people come up to me from previous conventions and are like, "Hi! Remember me?" and I'm all, "Uhh ... where did we meet and who where you dressed as?" I remember characters, more so than faces.

Oh yeah, I get totally thrown off. At ASL I met someone/hugged them, and they were like remember me? And I was like...nooo...but apparently I've hugged them at every con I'd been to...
But, well, when you are in a super popular costume like Rufio, you hug a lot of people. A lot a lot. And take a ton of pictures. When you have poor memory like me

And I know what you mean by taking a lot of pictures and hugging tons of people. Anime Expo was 4 days of pure crazy. My friends and I would be trying to walk down a hall and get stuck for like, 20 minutes because people wanted to take our photos or to give us loves. It kind of felt like I was in Hollywood. Haha.
So, what's the other convention you mentioned? I didn't recognize the abbreviation for it.

The first time I wore Rufio (Banzai) no one would walk with me because it took me over 20 minutes to walk down just the hallway...they still won't walk with me when I wear Rufio...I feel so famous in that costume XD Especially when people start chanting Ru!Fi!Oh!
NDK is Nan Desu Kan, it's in CO. I went this year...and was suuuper sick the whole time D: I don't remember much.

I haven't ever heard of that convention. Is it pretty big? I've never been sick while at a con (I can only imagine how miserable that must have been), but I got the post-con ick suuuuuuper bad last June. I had the flu for a week and a half. Nerds and their germs ...

It is pretty big. 21,000 people I think? I was so sick on Sunday that I didn't even dress up. I practically wore my pajamas the last day and had my hair down. It was suuuuper curly because it had been pincurled two days in a row
I was actually sick at Banzai too, just not as bad. It suuuucks. I'm still fighting it actually. I have some sort of stomach issue that we can't figure out. According to the tests I'm totally normal! (inside. Outside is all weird~

Con-Hangover. I can safely say I've never experien-- well, I got drunk at MTAC in Nashville last year, but I didn't get a hangover. Just a really bad headache throughout the day. xD

You could barely move in the halls sometimes, it was quite a different experience from Banzai. As far as getting out of bed goes, I had spent so much money getting there, I was going to attend come hail or high water! Though I look back at pictures and go...man was I pale. I'm vampire white normally...but it was corpse like.
Isn't a headache part of a hangover? ^^ I don't drink...I'm pretty sure I'd be a terrible drunk...I'd cry

Hmmm. Sounds like Anime Expo and Anime Weekend Atlanta. Wall-to-wall people all weekend. It was madness. Madness I say! (I'm getting so tired, can't you tell? lol.)
And I understand the money thing. I get that way about my cosplay. No matter how much I spend, if it doesn't look right, I'm not wearing it. Hotels, and cars, and con-fees. It's an expensive hobby. *nods*
A headache can be, yes. However, I had mine while I was still drunk, sooooooo ... it technically wasn't a hangover. I had never been to a convention where they served alcohol before, and I was in my Prussia costume ... *glances side to side* ... the combination was just too perfect to pass up. Hahaha. (And you'd probably be better than you think. ;D)
