Some tips for line art is making a clean sketch over the sketchy stuff so you know what lines to trace. For coloring color inside the lines and dont leave blank volor spaces (fill in everywhere!)

For shading I do blues and purples dependong on the sending and set the layer on multiply clip the layer and fill it in. I take a textured brush (usually water color) and set it on transparent and start erasing the parts that aren't shaded.
And lighting I take a orange, yellow or white and set it on over lay and use an airbrush!

Other than that a practice a lot. Its okay to use references especially if you need help positioning the character!
