I usually work out only a month or so before so I'm not much better. This year was special because I knew for months what I was going as because both were already made costumes, just with a few adjustments needed.

My sis...she will know what she wants to do...but put it this way...I did not know she was bringing her humungous tails cosplay until about 2 weeks before...she suddenly 180ed her idea on whether she should bring it, and next thing I know, she's definitely brining it :L

Hmmm...I've been going for about 6 years now, but I did do a Ryuk from Death Note and Eruka Frog from Soul Eater cosplay in my earlier years Everything else...cartoons haha XD

Due to Claireface being a student and working part time at McDonalds and the fact I work weekdays and most weekends we don't get a lot of time to plan XD It literally normally boils down to 'I had this idea' 'Ok lets do that' 'how much time do we have?' '2 weeks, we've got the clothes and I can make the props' 'sounds good to me' and thats it XD

Your sisters tails outfit was amazing though >w< Thats the first tails I've seen in decent proportion! Normally they have tails that are too big or tiny heads or something stupid but hers was PERFECT. Its a pity she doesn't take commissions or I'd request ALL THE THINGS XD Like help with a Red Alert helm... because I'm still working on that. It's only been... *looks at the date* o-o; about 6 or so years since I started it.

The next Minami will be my 4th XD The closest to anime characters we've got were the Helix Witness's. First year we did ponies, I did Photo Finish as I was the groups photographer. Second year was the 'Thomas the f*cking tank engine' group, I did Toby :3 And we also did human Wheatley and Fact Core and this year was Chiro which nobody got and Helix Witness's.

Dunno if you saw it, but she also entered Euro Cosplay as toothless and came 3rd (you can see it here: refira.deviantart.com/art/Toot… ) She is just good at making proportion and things work XD People are trying to talk her into doing a panel in the future, but she needs to find out what she can actually talk about cause some of the stuff could be considered "trade secrets", as well as deal with her own almost Fluttershy-ness XD

I have had a few years of no costumes due to time constraints, but I did the the aforementioned Ryuk and Eruka, as well as Mona Lisa from Old toon TMNT, another anime one was Yuna from Stitch! the anime, and obviously this year I did Twilight Sparkle (Equestria Girls version) on Sat, and Knock Out on Sun

...Ok that sounded really creepy and stalkerish XD I apologize. But I do love her work, it's just so perfect! Ahhh! >w< I wish I could get pointers but I doubt I'd even understand them because I suck at making my own shit! XD *flails* ahhhh it's so cool! I did see that cosplay but I didn't know you or her at the time and I am a very quiet / shy person myself when it comes to talking to people, hence why my friend had to ask you both for a photo I'm not good at the talking thing.

I've yet to go to Minami without a cosplay because it's the reason why I started to do so XD I never cosplayed for expo because it is so hot and crowded I didn't see the point because nobody would care to even look. So I just wear whatever I made for Minami to Expo instead so the cosplays get at least two uses out of them before I hang them up. Looking at some pictures of my Chiro outfit though I'm definitely not tucking the trousers into my shoes again, they flared out so much and made my feet look tiny XD So screw that bit of keeping to the show.

I doubt I'd understand if she tried to tell me I've seen some of the innards before...and it is just confusing I'm not even sure half the time how she gets from point A to finished

I've cosplayed for expo...twice. Twilight Sparkle last october (at least one guy took a photo XD and many noticed haha), and Miko from TFP in october 2011 (again, one photo taken by random person and another dude being whisked away by his friends noticed). I usually don't bother for the same reasons, but if its light, you're fine. I also have had to look after the huge ass costumes my sister makes as her watcher for most years I've gone, which is far fewer than Minamicon. I started going to expo in 2011, when I started Uni. I actually hated it the first year when I was Miko...but I found Fridays and Sundays were nice and quiet in 2012 when we had an all access pass for the Euro Cosplay, which was awesome.

Ours is normally "We're going to do this, so we'll buy this then I (this I being my friend Claire) will make the rest" and thats it XD Our Helix Witness's was pretty much 'Get some smart clothes and I'll make the props', our Portal Cores was 'We'll buy this stuff and I'll make the rest' and my Chiro was 'Buy this stuff then BEG MY FRIENDS TO MAKE SOME SHIT FOR IT' XD

I've been going to expo more than Minami. I went when I was a child back in 2001 / 2002, back when Expo was pretty much a large, empty room with a few daleks in, some Star Trek stalls, Robot Wars robots and a few other things, mostly Buffy as well. It was nowhere near as big as it is today. My mum is a sci fi fan so we used to take us. Then I stopped going in around 2005 / 2006 because we ran into money problems which we're still in Then in 2008 I was given a ticket, I have a really bad memory so I didn't know this was the same place I'd been before. I was given a free ticket and my manga club rented out a coach to take us in. I've gone twice a year every year since then. This will be my 6th year in a row.

The cosplays I do there are pretty much the same ones I do at Minami, because I might as well wear something but I don't enjoy myself enough to bother making up brand new cosplays for it I'll never do an OC again though or something not to the character because I got pretty bullied last time. My friend and me made up 'Chavvy Finish' a chavved up version of Photo Finish from MLP and we put the cosplay together and I wore it. I got bullied by a lot of people for trying to make something different to the character. Got stood up for by bronies when they overheard some of the bullying, but I've never gotten changed so fast in my life. One reason I like my Chiro outfit so much is because I have a mask on, so I have something to hide behind other than the wig.

Fridays are the best days for buying at expo because most can't go due to work or other commitments like kids. Saturday has always been hell due to the Masquerade and Euro Cosplay and most panels / signings are on Saturday. Sunday is better, but I normally only go on Sundays to wander and take pictures, I buy all the stuff I want on the Friday.

Oh wow...I can't believe people bullied you that sucks. My sister often used to get stigma for being "a furry", even though she is far from being one...some people just like to claim she is because she likes doing mascots.

Yeah, I got bullied because of the clothes, they're now in the cosplay wardrobe right at the back where they'll probably never be worn together again. I'm pretty used to bullies though and general dickheads who feel like they have to point something out, like if someones outfit is missing some tiny bit of detail or if they got a teeny tiny thing wrong, hence why my friend showed me Minamicon, never had a problem there and it actually gave me confidence to cosplay again because my first cosplay at Expo got me so petrified of doing it due to assholes.

I did a Hunter from Left for Dead one halloween and got ripped into by a load of people because it wasn't 100% accurate, I was told that I shouldn't even bother if I 'can't do it correct' and that I was too fat and ugly and all this shit. The convention has changed a bit since then but it really did knock the teeny tiny bit of confidence that I had out of me. Heck even now I have a mini panic attack in the bathrooms before I come out in a cosplay, my friends have had to drag me out on a few occasions.

I hate people who fragging assume that everyone who wears anything with fur on is a furry. And so what if she was, whats it to them? She likes doing mascots, that doesn't instantly make her a furry! Thats like saying that because I own a cat tail I'm a furry! No I just liked the damn tail!

Daammmmnnn...I was often worried about being accused of being "fat and ugly", but I've been okay with that side of things. I'm not surprised expo is worse for that though, especially since before last october, anyone could come in and hassle you.

And yeah...I know she HAS had the fat and furry things against her for multiple costumes...people just like trolling and being jerks about some things. I could never upset someone like that...in my sisters words: "effort was made"...on any front! So what if the costume isn't 100000000% accurate or whatevs...not even the top of the top can get some suits 100% accurate due to how they are done on set/drawn unrealistically.

And the furry thing....It would be like if you claimed someone drew porn because they had to do life drawing...it's really not the same thing :L

It was before the introduction of a lot of security, but it's scarred me to the point where there are many cosplays I won't do at Expo that I'll do at Minami with no fears. Pretty much anything that isn't me being fully covered because I can't go through that again.

Loads of people get that though, hence why I get put off cosplaying at Expo but love it at Minami. People like us get called fat, ugly and loads of other shit and thinner cosplayers that I know have been called whores or 'babe magnets' and loads of other things. One of my friends refuses to ever go to Expo again because some random guy squeezed her ass whilst she was going around the dealers hall in the crowds. She didn't even know who did it because there were so many people.

The furry thing is just pathetic though, it's like you said. It's like someone claiming that somebody else isn't a real photographer because they don't own a Canon or a Nikon, despite some top photographers using Iphones and disposable cameras for their work.

LOL! Yeah, the photography thing always makes me think of one of Nert's panels (the ManyLemons guy who did that con video of a bunch of the minamis) where he said quite honestly "Megapixels mean nothing!" Best description of most cameras ever! It's all about HOW you do it, not what you're using.

Even though I know a enough about photography, I go because Nert has a habit of making the panel a great big laugh. He puts a lot of jokey frames in his presentation, and often puts good horrendous examples in. I go every year haha...helps I know him as well

I was going to go to his panel but my friend wanted to go to another They clashed and I'd already made her miss something so I could go to something else. I'm not brave enough to wander from her side yet at Minamicon, heck I panic if she leaves me alone anywhere but the dealers room for more than 5 minutes XD But if he does one next year I'll make sure to go, hopefully it won't clash with something again.

got into the road construction class i wanted to be in ( one of 13 who made it in) got through the first week and had a blast ! only 7 more weeks then i graduate I got CPR certified and we're doing OSHA testeing as well to get OSHA certified. I think i will have steach and fish left overs for dinner today lol and corn ( can you tell my dad packed my lunch?)
I am working on your megatron Breakdown story it's going to be a smutty two shot because i got an amazing idea after you told me what you wanted because Yuki said she wanted me to do a Breakdown Starscream one too on a different picture of hers. So I am writing this two shot for the both of you ^^ called Swingers. The plot is that Knock Out is bored and has roped Breakdown into an interfaceing game called Swinging where they change partners with another couple and who is this unluck- i mean unfortu- i mean this other couple? Why who better then Master Megatron and his femme like Second in command Starscream? what could possably go wrong?
