You've got a good start to your gallery, the Love piece is definitely my favourite out of the whole gallery. Keep working with borders and different subjects and you'll go a long way.

thanks for dropping by my gallery and leaving a comment ;
you're from belgium. cool, . . i like belgian chocolate (YUM) and hercule poirot ^_^ hope to visit someday.
---i've never used charcoal or learnt even the basics of the kind of traditional art you're into, so i won't give any "critique". but i've looked through your work, the sketches particularly, and you have a really strong, unique style. i enjoyed looking at your artwork : )
keep it up!!

Yeah, our chocolate is great I'm all addicted to it. If you visit belgium, tell me so I can recommend you some great places and things to see. A lot of tourists like Belgium because of the old buildings and cathedrals which is funny for us.
But you're from china, that's where I really want to go to! What a coincidence Chinese culture and buildings are really interesting I think.
I'm glad you enjoyed my work, that's always nice to know. I don't consider myself having a style already, but it's coming and i'm getting better.
I've looked at your other work and I like it. It's much better than the one I commented one I think. "diary" looks great: not too busy and very chinese. The dog or wolf is very well done, don't tell me you don't know traditional art, your shading is very good.
Keep it going too! I'll be watching you

tell me about it. . . i'm a total chocolate addict. ^_^ no-one was happier around here when scientific research proved that eating a reasonable amount can prevent heart disease or something. before that everybody was saying "chocolate is bad for you" etc.
hehe thanks, i'll keep that in mind when i get around to visiting belgium!
---yup, chinese culture is really interesting. it's VAST and lots of it is self-contradictory though. i'm Chinese and i only know a pinprick of it lol. hopefully you'll come here and visit someday.
and thanks for all your encouragement.

About the chocolate again what kind of chocolate do you like most? and what brand? I think Cote d'or is the best
We could start a chocolate addicts club
I hope it too, I'll tell you when I will

haha cote d'or is exactly what i was talking about when i said belgian chocolate!. . . i have a box of it on the living room coffee table plus the special occasions on which i go to haagen-dazs with friends, "belgian chocolate chocolate" is a must-have.
i'm so un-gourmet tho, my favorite 'type' is milk-chocolate with hazelnuts. when the flavor's milk-chocolate-with-hazelnuts, it won't taste too wrong to me whichever brand it is ^_~

haha great Isn't it very expensive to buy belgian chocolate in China or are you rich? I never go to haagen-dazs because of the incredible high prizes and there's a cheaper one in the same mall with better ice cream
My favourite is black but I like hazelnuts too Something else that's great is coffee taste.

i'm from a middle upper-class family, but we don't classify as rich i think
they sell belgian chocolate at the beijing airport giftshop. we got a box of it once, and it tasted really good. that's how i know about it.
hmm haagen-dazs is all over the place here for some reason. i agree tho', compared to most other brands the prices are pretty crazy. hehe a lot of the time we just eat 3 RMB [chinese monetary unit] cones, especially if it's just friends hanging out.

We're middle class too, but that says nothing because everyone here is middle class
I could always send you some more chocolate, if you really need it
About the chinese learning: it has always interested me because it's such an exotic language, with all the special signs
With studying it, I meant at the university, to become a translator
Anyway, learning a new language isn't that difficult (I know because we're a language-oriented country that tries to learn as much languages as possible...) English and German weren't that difficult because they're in the same language group, French neither but that's my personal opinion I consider learning Spanish too, by the way.
Thanks for the advice

no prob^_^
yup, lots of Europeans are amazing in the fact that they know like 4 or 5 languages all really well.
if you're really into anime etc., or maybe japanese culture for its own sake, then choose japanese.
otherwise choose Chinese, because firstly there are so many people who speak putonghua [even if they speak some other Chinese dialect the written language is the same], and also if you know how to read & write Chinese characters, you'll be able to understand a lot of Japanese written characters anyway. Because a very big chunk of Japanese [just about all their more "formal" characters] are derived from Chinese written characters. They're just pronounced differently in Japanese.

Thanks! I didn't know that. I'm going for Chinese I think. Now just figure out how I'm gonna learn it, maybe there an evening course or something.
The fact that we all know several languages is because in my case Belgium is such a small country. We just have to know all these languages to trade with foreigners And there very much alike, that helps too
