It disgusts me to see people like PreciousAxlShine that insult and people that either don't like what they like, or like something that the insulted hates. What is wrong with people, if someone likes something that you don't, if it's "disgusting" or not doesn't give you permission to insult someone for what they like. Behind the public curtain, I did have a thorough conversation with PreciousAxlShine. They were just misunderstood and I had to explain to them what it meant to have this idea I have. They do understand now, but people do run blindly towards us with verbal insults because we're not what they like. It happens. Ok the swearing's getting a bit excessive. I'll tell you. The first mistake all people think is that they're dead. No, they're not dead, they're cartoons. We do this on the internet because the laws of physics does not apply. Killing people is wrong and if someone genuinely went out there in real life and flattened people, that's messed up. It's a fantasy and will stay that way as it's not possible. People can be flattened without harm. Second note: everyone thinks we're insane. You're the 2nd one to think I am mentally ill. Before I even knew it was a fetish, my earliest memories was in primary school and just feeling something right about it. I was playing as a boulder and chasing these female friends of mine. I know as much about why I like this to as much as you do. Apparently fetish's can be triggered by something happening to you when you were younger. I saw men flattened cartoonishly many times. When I grew up I guess I my brain just wired itself up like "if I don't like men flattened and I feel this regret in my body, maybe I like women flattened!" I never saw a woman flattened so...
That's the only explanation I can think of. Β I can only compare it to how people watch porn. It's like me watching homosexual porn and not liking it, so my body must think I like heterosexual porn. But there's waaaay more than just that. Other people have different views and different ways of seeing it. I highly appreciate this comment. I realise as well that people may attack fetish's because they may have had a bad experience as well. I know people normally are disgusted in some fetish's, but I never came to terms with people who might actually be scared. In a way, I apologise to you.
Now we've both opened up, we both realise why these things are happening. You're so much better than people who verbally attack me and others. Sure, you did that at first, but we reasoned with each other. People like you make my weird fetish feel bearable. I never wanted acceptance, I wanted understanding.
I respect what you have said. I never took into perspective of what the other people think. The ones attacking me.
I can safely say that when people have fetish's, they find it appealing because
1. Their brain said it is appealing, so it is.
2. It makes us unique and in a way I feel special that I own this, because I don't just have it, I OWN it. I make art for it.
3. Following with 2, we get to join a community. This community is only for people like me. When I first discovered this fetish, I felt like an outcast. I discovered deviantart and I saw there's 100's of people, just like me! It felt great to belong somewhere. We all have one giant thing in common. Call it a fandom if you wish, where we create art for it. We get enjoyment out of others work and we like to help each other out.
I get notes and messages all the time of people telling me how to do this and what I used to make that. It's almost a haven, as EVERYONE gets on. It's weird. Some like male flattenings, some like female, some have other fetish's. But we all understand how each and every one of us feel.Β
Basically, take it like a fandom. Everyone has this one thing in common where we can all relate.

I guess I can kinda relate. I ship Zero and X from the Megaman X series, and before discovering there are groups on dA that are dedicated to that ship, I was kinda alone. A couple of friends even raised their eyebrows questioningly about my ship. So it did feel pretty great to meet other people who ship them as much as I do.
TBH, it kinda makes me wish there was something I could do to get people to understand that fetish art isn't right (IMO). At the very least, I think they should put anything even remotely fetish-related under mature content, or, even better, get the fuck off of dA and take their fetishes to a website or something dedicated to it. That's not to say I hate you and think you should get off of dA and kill yourself, but that's honestly just how I feel.

I understand the hate is still there, as it doesn't just go. Believe me, if there was a website called fetishpost.org or something like that, I would happily transfer to that. The thing with deviantart is that when I came here it was already fetish ridden and it has such a great interface and design, that I technically am adding to the problem. They say ignore the problem. I can do that just fine with stuff like that fandom and stuff, but a lot of people can't. I honestly wish deviantart would add a "fetish" button or something to mature content. I probably count as one, but I realise that to other people that this just isn't normal. I take it as a gift in some way because it makes me unique, although I have to realise the true nature of the internet and what is acceptable being here (Hint: Nothing). If it wasn't for the great community for my specific interests (and of course the others) I wouldn't be uploading this stuff. There's some genuine nice people that are great to talk to.
