Hi Max! I have declined commissions many times before, but today I decided to accept a commission work and Fredy3D decided to be open for requests as well. I think we 3D artists should gather somehow (MSN?) and discuss some general guidelines for commission pricing and conditions, since most of us haven't done that before. So far I only sold models in my online store, not commissions. What do you think?

I have just submitted my first paid commission here at dA, the one called "Private Study" ([link] ). The original request was pretty much hentai, and I had to negotiate a "light" version of it I could post in my gallery. I accepted Paypal payment (from Italy) and I think that's the most secure and reliable way to do it. Payments must be done and confirmed *before* delivery, to avoid issues as described by ~AreeElf and other dA artists.
I have ran a little dA pricing research by checking the pages of many artists who do commissions here. It's hard to compare because we do Poser 3D work and only occasionally new models need to be created (like the custom gun and box from my commission). Facts are that if we don't have a consistent commission price list among 3D artists, we might demoralize ourselves in the end - either with over or underpricing.

Sounds like you might be the pioneer in figuring out the pricing. I will most likely never do commisions. When my hobby becomes a job, I lose intrest quickly.

Out of character? Hmm, I guess so - I didn't design the scene, I just implemented it. And I still had to remove the hentai parts of it, leaving it more like "sexy". It makes sense if it looks out of place in my gallery, since that was a hentai scene in the core and I don't do that sort of stuff, although that would raise my stats like crazy.
I thought you said you would be open to commissions, and that's what made me accept this one. Did I get it wrong? I thought you wanted to do it after I read your journal.

This poem really speaks to what 'A Lonely Walk' invokes in me. The picture didn't inspire the poem, but does speak directly to it. Read the poem, especially the command given at the end. You said that you were sure she's up to no good; however, I saw her as executing the order in my poem.
