Yeah. I picked it up generally quickly due to having about 11 years of piano background, thus this also gave me decent finger flexibility.
I enjoy playing guitar -- that's all I say. This is in contrast to saxophone and piano, where I was forced into it. I really like guitar because I'm willingly playing it, and I'm learning the things I want to learn. That seems less remarkable when spoken than it really means to me, but I guess you just have to go through 11 years of hating instruments to appreciate that freedom that I have with guitar.
and I also mention that I enjoy guitar because I think that less and less people appreciate instruments (guitar/bass especially) as a means of creative expression and personal enjoyment. Too often it's treated as some kind of competition.

I prefer bass to guitar, but there's a better variety of left-handed guitars, and my brother plays bass.
I enjoy guitar to a certain extent, but I prefer the beats and anti-noise that you get with bass. But I suppose I just say that because I can't have it, and I usually only want what I can't have.

yeah, but while growing up, the only understanding I had of my heritage was a church-ran town of Orange City where stores were (and still are) closed on sundays, and if you quit the private-church schools, a pastor would arrive at your house and tell you and your parents that you were going to go to hell.
The town is depressingly boring and actually has no color. It's like 1940s Germany.
