Finding-My-Freedom In reply to ??? [2014-09-06 16:25:29 +0000 UTC]
I keep mispelling Gabrielle... Originally he was meant to be Gabriel (like the angel) but I started typing Gabrielle and just got in the habit lol.
Isabella is French from my knowledge, Diana I named after the English Princess, Tatyana I thought was Russian, Miranda I had no idea where it came from. So it wasn't intentional lol just me failing with my general knowledge.
I have one character who is Italian though and that's Antonio. However thanks for letting me know that loads of these names are Italian (I could use that in the future somehow) lol

Exactly, the angel Gabriel here in Italy is called "Gabriele" (male). Gabrielle is a female name, and if I'm not mistaken, it was also the name of the blonde companion of Xena Warrior Princess if you want to check the spelling (I'm not sure about it since in Italian it was changed to Olimpia for unknown reasons). The Italian version is GabriellA.
Isabella is pure Italian, its French version is IsabellE! Diana is written the same way in both Anglo-Saxon countries and Italy, but its pronounciation is pretty different. And Miranda is just the same!
Of course don't worry... there's nothing wrong with it. If you've chosen them randomly, it's just pretty singular that you were fascinated by Italian sounding names (a latin/hebrew name mostly ending with a vowel).
You're welcome, it's ok, really, I'm just extremely curious and interested in language differences and so! Anytime!

Yeah literally it was always meant to be Gabriel but I kept misspelling it lol Β
Didn't know that I thought Isabella was french too , Yeah I can guess how it can be pronounced differently (her original name was Jodie Hammers lol)
Of course there's nothing wrong, I thank you for letting me know, I had no idea lol. nothing wrong with being interested in languages, it's always really fascinating, especially the origins of them and how inter-related they are
