Thanks. I spent some time in Southern Cal many years ago. Back when Balboa Park was a small zoo. Many weekends in Chula Vista and LaJolla, body surfing and hang gliding.

Ya, I guess your right, but I am kindof worthless until I get a better Camera (I'm hoping for a Nikon D50 SLR, not the best, but way better than my point and shoot)

All of the work in my gallery except the very early stuff (which was done with a film SLR) has been done with point and shoot cameras, both film and digital. For years I used a 1 megapixel Kodak point and shoot, then last year got a 4 megapixel and I just got a 6 megapixel that's more versatile and has more manual functions for Christmas.

Every camera has its own personality and should be loved.

Oh, and smilies... it's ":" and ")" with no space in between them.

Also, if you go to the bottom of your page there will be an open box for commenting and at the bottom of that box there is a link to the emoticon legend that shows you how to do all the deviantART specific emoticons.

It has some manual settings, but it's not an SLR. Almost any camera can do good macro shots, this one has manual focus, though, so it allowed me to just put the clarity in the center.
