Crikey it seems like a while ago now I wrote, I don't recall what I was waffling on about ha ha

Probably nothing that exciting! What a pisser about your laptop, my mac broke down last year at the worst time possible, and I had to do with out it for 2 weeks whilst they fixed it, so I know how infuriating it can be. Still at least you do have a library to go to which is something

I agree, it's rare that I do to be honest, I find likable souls but not very often like minded, especially in the town I live in, such a shortage of hippies, of the good variety

Not sure I can give a very positive account of my degree but I can certainly give you an honest one

Thanks for all the comments on my work, glad you liked some things from my gallery and it makes me happy to be able share them with you.

I've often thought I was born in the wrong era- the 50's and 60's would have been good times for me I know it. Maybe I'm trying to bring about something similar with my more psychedelic work. Even though I can't drive and have no interest in cars, I have a strong like for 50's cars and if I could drive I'd like one. I'm into straight lines and those 50's cars are so curved and groovy!

So kind of you to say about my photographs, I never really felt it was something that I was good so it's nice you think so


I'll be sure to listen to the song on youtube, in fact you saying about fitting right in reminded me of a funny song by ween called hippy smell - if you find the time for a listen it might make you laugh

Ha ha, thanks Todd, thats sweet. I'm not really that great honestly, just a bit well unusual shall we say. Alas though I am a taken lady and kinda of been keeping in a bit hush hush but I've not long had a baby, well he's six months but it's so surreal. I never really wanted kids and always thought I'd adopt and I'm not really too keen on being a housewife much either. Where would you have taken me? the adventure bit sounds great! I love to travel and if I could I wouldn't stop but as always it's down to money n stuff.
I really should have been around in the 60's it seems like it was easier to beat the system back then

Hope you like that song, it's kind of the reverse of me I hope but makes me laugh, in my home town of Bath, there are lots of what I call weekend hippies, they wear tie dye and live on boats but they are rude, unfriendly and about as closed minded as they come

Thanks! I don't know why I haven't made a thing about it on my deviant art or other internet pages, but I am a deeply private person and even though it feels like big news I don't feel like sharing it, there's a few nuts that might read it and It all feels so surreal to me still! I really didn't think I'd have kids, I;m so irresponsible and love my freedom too much!

But luckily he is a cherub, his name is Hjalmar, which is pronounced Yalmer, It's an old Swedish name as his Dad is half Swdish and it was his great great uncles name, I liked it as soon as I heard it.

That's the spirit of adventure, just go where ever you feel is right and have as much fun and mischief along the way as possible, preferably with a bag of psychedelics!! hehe

So was it like that back in the day, with the fakers I mean, or were people more genuinely hippies?

I find I offer up more of myself here than I usually do
as a rule-for the same reasons! Being a private person-or loner got me
to feel a bit selfish. so these days I'm a little less secluded..not to mention having to share
my living space with 300 guys!!

'Hippie' was something our circle aspired to..I was a little late in the scene..but had to be apart of the anti-VietNam thing..
I think we all got caught up in it in an 'honest' way.There was a lot of good things people were attempting to change. Government was
one of my beefs!..I was elected District Representative and sent to a caucus one evening. I found out quickly how bogged down in BS and formalities
the process had become. I walked out after 1 1/2 houses of the prior meetings minutes being read!
Then came Nixon and the whole Watergate thing..Don't get me wrong..these were exciting times! Abbe Hoffman..Jerry Ruben ..the Chicago 7..Black
Panthers..they all had a nefarious agenda!!
Boy it all comes back to me now!!
