I find you talented, because the image was unique, interesting and most importantly of all in an architectural image... it was realisticly possible.

hey tom,
thanks a lot for the comment on The Globe [link] i've got to admit that it was shot on negative : Kodak Portra 160 VC, which is an emulsion i love. The reason i don't shoot much slides is that i've been really disappointed when printing them (the lab screwed everything big time :/) but i love the texture and colors of slides though (and velvia is really awesome ! ) hey, maybe i'm going to make some more
thanks also for the watch, i'm glad you like my gallery and architecture pictures
see ya,

hey i can't control the attention i get, and they aren't barcodes...they were just lines. and i make some of my stuff just purely for the fun of designing....not everything has to have meaning and emotion...sometimes...it can just be for fun thank you for the comment

thanks for commenting. the jthm piece was more of an experimentation in photomontage than a tribute to jthm. i agree that the dialoge in the comic is certainly one of it strongest points, but i wanted the piece to have a visual impact, not a literary one. i didn't want words to guide the viewer at all. i like the white foam board because on it the red really stands out, and then on that the black pieces stand out even more. i think with black foam board the composition and focus on the photographs themselves might have been lost in a muddle of black, grey, and red.

To answer what the people are looking at. You'll notice in some of the stock photos, the ones appended with Man Singing... A man climbed a lamp post on the busiest corner in downtown Austin and began to preach, he was a regular on the corner often dressed in sacks and preaching about nonsense. Anyway, for 30 minutes the police chased him up the pole until a fire truck was called out and extracted him. I have the entire event chronicled including the news team, the fire trucks, his climb up the pole and the eventual placing of his person in the squad car.
I worked next door to Schlotszky's, lucky break that day. Downtown Austin is always full of crazies though.
Thanks.

Thanks for the comments on my photo Bronte Church. Yes, I am guilty of the original photo 10 years ago, when I traveled to England. I love to add a bit of blur now and again, and have done that to a couple of other photos. Recently, I took a macro shot of it with a digital camera, was experimenting and playing around. I love the original photo, and in small context it looks fine, but a larger version shows its flaws..oh well, that's the good thing about stock photos.
Thanks for the comments, I appreciate your taking the time.

I'm not uploading my entire archive, jeez, that would take years. As far as the colors, keep in mind that these were images that did not make the cut, so the colors may be a little off, lots of polarization. But I'm sure the talent here can work around, or with that.
Thanks.

Never thought of it that way, guess a lot of my photos are 1/3 comps. And the door, the wonderful red door, yes, very personal, and I couldn't get it from across the street because of cars interfering, so therefore the blur, but I don't really care, and this is hanging in my home, too.
