Welcome to DA and thank you for the watch.
I look forward to seeing more of your work and am very curious to see where you are headed with your designs, given your introduction.
If you want exposure on your work, showing it here is a good idea also if you have any option to show of pieces in a local fashion show that is an excellent opportunity.
Depending upon your style of clothing sometimes clubs will have fashion shows and if you have friends that are dj's or club owners they can let you know of events like this.
Selling pieces on eBay is also an option as, it allows people worldwide to see your clothing.
There's so much more I can think of but, I'll leave it there for the moment and just say welcome and I wish you great luck with business and hope you do smashingly!

I think I've got a lot of work ahead of me to be up to selling standard but I'm interested by everything that you're saying on your page re. clients and how hard you work! I love your designs - maybe not what I could do myself but the kind of thing that I love to look at. Do they sell well on E-bay or do you use that more for promotional means?

You are very welcome.

Your clothing looks great from what I can see but, if you feel there is more to learn before you put it on the market then I fully understand. There isn't a day that I'm not sewing or designing and answering client questions, filling orders, dealing with website information, eBay information and also assisting a sister designer who asks us for help on certain orders as she deals with certain requests and we usually handle the movie costume, reproductions, leatherworking or armor that she wouldn't or when she has too much on her hands.
I've been designing clothing and more fantasy type clothing since I was very young and the first sewing machine I used was an old cast iron and wood treadle foot Singer which I absolutely loved.
Enough of my history I'm sure I'm boring you to tears!
Thank you for the compliment. I've always been more fantasy oriented with garments and prefer to make things that people wouldn't always consider wearing but, when given the option would love to and also do wedding or evening gowns as well but, find the market is very finicky about types and styles in general. If you want to keep up on trends for certain clothing types find magazines paper or online that will give you the information on what is forecasted and that can help you out if you're interested.
Some of these items sell well on eBay, the last two tops I put up definitely do as they have a general appeal and can be worn with so many things, waist cinchers, corsets and a lot of the fantasy character items can also do well but, eBay is better as a promotional tool overall, exposure is key!

I'm in the first few stages of a long journey towards starting my own business and subscribing to deviantART is a small part of that. Soon I will be posting some of the items that I've made as I start to collect my thoughts and move towards a cohesive collection. I'd love to hear from anyone with advice on anything may help - how to make my work look better, getting the business going or even where to source fabric and other bits.
