I have a question for all you bot builders out there...What are the physical dimensions of Tom Servo? Specifically, I'd like to know the dimensions of his torso(the Money Lover's Barrel Bank) and the hoverskirt(the Boo Bowl). It's mostly a curiosity for me right now, but I might start a project in the future...

Time for another Random MySTie Encounter! Coming home from Christmas in Kansas, my family stopped at truck stop....And what did I see staring back at me from the bargain-DVD rack? 'Danger: Daibolik' A stand-alone DVD of the original movie. Almost burst out laughing right there in the store!

I hope I'm not butting in or anything. But have you ever heard of groups. It could help you manage this cool club more efficiently.
You have to try it!

Thatguywiththeglasses.com stole my idea for a riff! Just kidding; they probably independently chose the same movie, but I'm still planning my own send-up of it. Just as soon as I get a microphone.

Apparently, every episod has a story... And you never know where you'll stumble across those stories.
I was reading an article that was mostly just rehashing the history of comic books, but this one added a new tidbit. While American comics in the 60s were undergoing a SuperHero revival (the Silver Age), European comics were going through a superVILLAIN boom. Storis of thieves and murderers with names like Sadistik, Kriminal, Satanik,(the misplaced 'k' must be Europe's idea of calling a character "Something-Man") as well as..... Diabolik!
Yes, rather than being just a bit of hack-work, the final episode of MST3K was actually part of a comicbook franchise! Mike and the Bots were ripping on the late-60s European equivelant of the Spider-Man movie! Bizzare!

XD I was watching an episode of MST3K as I found this! ...course I always watch MST3K when I work >.> I'm an addict, I averagely watch at least an episode a day, the very least one every other day. If I'm on a roll, I can watch like, an entire season in an afternoon X_X
Anyhow, I'm obviously going to join this club XD

Okay, time for a random, goofy little MSTie story... A week or so back, I was in a drug store and I glanced at one of thier super-bargain-DVD racks. And what did I see looking back at me? The ever-so-distinctive face of Arch Hall Jr. staring back me! It wasn't a DVD of "Eegah", but some other movie like "Guitar Strummers" or something... In any case, just seeing a MST refference in my daily life made me laugh!

That might've been the other movie Arch Hall Jr. starred in the same year Eegah was made (1962). If you remember the song "Vickie" that he sings by the poolside in Eegah, he originally sang it in that movie since the female lead was named Vickie. Why he reused the song in Eegah (probably as filler), or why he didn't rename the song "Roxie" for the movie is beyond me. But there's the goofy little piece of trivia to go along with it!

Guys, I've got some great news: I now have a microphone and Wavepad, so I'm starting up my own fan MSTing. Unfortunately the sound quality isn't great, and I have no idea how to really sync it up besides telling viewers to push play on the movie once the wav file hits 5.00. Help at either would be appreciated, and the track will be submitted to the club once it is complete. If I can learn to do it better, though, I might redo it.
