Hey BB...

I was wondering if you could name some D&D books that deal with half-dragons?
I know the template for them is in the Monster Manual and I have a couple of books that deal with 'em (Races of the Dragon and Draconomicon), but I couldn't think of any other myself...

I was about to ask if you had the Draconiuim.
I remember some articles on Half-Fiends a while back in Dragon or Dungeon magazine.
Do you have Monster Manuals II and III and Fiend Folio? I'll have a dig around. (I also have DM's Guide II) There's quite a bit of advice on customising templates especially for character play in the back of MMII and MMIII. I've forced myself to stick to the Core Rules (especially since the revision) - mainly for price sake. I'm really quite hopeless when it comes to knowing which product is for what.
(ps I bought the Star Wars Saga edition RPG the other - I'm only few years behind )

Thanks, I don't have the MM II and III as books, but I do have them on my pc so I'll have to read them someday
I'd love to have them as actual books (I hate reading .pdf files), but as you said yourself, they are not exactly cheap...
But last week I got myself a membership at the local "geek"-store, which means I'll get a 10% discount on ALL rpg-products

Hmm, a star wars rpg... I think thats worth looking into

All geekery is good.

Oh man, I much prefer glossy books to PDFs - unless they are very cheap or free. Is it worth printing them all out? Then you can make notes on the pages, stuff like that. Just printed out this PDF [link] - looks okay in a transparent pockets folder.
(Star Wars uses the D&D d20 system - it's fascinating to see how it translates, but I'd only get it if you're really into Star Wars) I hadn't realised how much collectable Miniatures have taken over the world - some of these shops are dangerous places!

CaptainThomas In reply to billiambabble [2007-08-14 18:21:50 +0000 UTC]

Heh, I've never thought of printing the pdf's out, that is actually a very good idea

hehe, I often spend too much time and too much money in those kind of stores They've got so much very shiney and very expensive stuff!! (The store where I got a membership card at have a leather bound special collectors edition of the Monster Manual, It looks veeeery nice , I've been temptet to buy it several times, but so far I've managed to resist the alluring call...)

And yes, the collectable minis are taking over the world. I got a rather large collection of D&D minis, but it is also possible to get Star Wars Minis and some sort of WWII minis...

It is a good thing to be a geek, execpt for your wallet

CaptainThomas In reply to billiambabble [2007-08-25 19:14:07 +0000 UTC]

I'm kinda looking foreward to it, but the downside of it is that all the 3.5 books I have collected will be useless

From what I've read on [link] they say it is supposed to be a really great game... but then again, thay have to say that to sell the game

Le sigh O=

My power supply and C-drive on my computer died. So I'm on the other computer, deprived from Armored Core, Thief, Neverwinter Nights, and every other game that I enjoy until it gets new stuff or my dad fixes eet v_v

Not to mention if we wind up not being able to recover the stuff to another computer, I'll have to do a TON of reinstalling.

billiambabble In reply to Rathari [2007-08-12 22:10:37 +0000 UTC]

Crikey!! Losing a drive can be like losing a limb! My sympathies. I installed NWN (I) for the first time on my dad's laptop the other day - interesting stuff. Suffice to say Morrowind is where my loyalty lies in terms of game time (is it me or are there just too RPGs to play in one life time?!)

I hope that you're back on top technology wise, that you've found all the right drivers and plug-ins and maybe found the odd back-up of a save (?)

Thanks for posting (sorry for my month delay in replying)
