hiya, it's me again! If ya wanna see my stuff i could send it but the only way would be through the instant messenger file transfer, as the files are too big for email, and D.A. dosnt support vector cpt files that i'm aware of.
You would also need a copy of corelDRAW in order to view them .
Just lemme know what you wanna do and we'll get it done

well, vector is my forte so if you have any questions, feel free to ask away.
I have been doing vector for 3 yrs now, it's the main graphic type in the printing field :ie, t-shirts.
The way i do my art is through the use of vector to get all the clean lines and pure colors, then i open it with a photoeditor like corel photo paint this process will convert it to bitmap automatically.
Then i do all the blends and shading in adobe ps5 to get the proper gradients and fades i am looking for.
This process is a bit on the long side, and a little more work, but the finished product is alot more desireable than creating from scratch in a photoeditor.
I know corelDRAW 8 like the back of my hand so if you ever need anything just ask me. I'd be more than happy to help.

first off, sorry it took me so long to respond to your comment/visit .
You do some outstanding work, i saw one of your deviations had a title of vectorraster. Do you do vector as well?
I have corel 8 and 10, and do most of my work in vector then convert. I find it makes for a much cleaner image, and is alot easier to do from scratch than to create jpg's from scratch.

Not too many ppl have the stomach for vector as it's a tad more on the technical side. judging by how clean and precise your work is i'd say you do use vector, and that's a good thing.

just a few good photos destroyed, a scan of a torn crumpled piece of paper, mask tool to hack a few holes desaturate and there you have it.

no, neither, no filter and no manipulation... I never manipulate the stock photos, I just cut the image resolution down by half. Glad you liked the photo.

basicaly i went to color range select, picked out the different shades of gray in her and made a path then filled the path with whatever color i felt fit it. thats about it. the brush on the side was courtesy of abraxas.

Glad you were able to find some info there...I stumbled on it while I was looking for Photoshop brushes, and have since downloaded tons of them, and all sorts of other goodies.
Ya know, you might also want to check out the competition. CorelDraw is also a vector prog, and anything that can be done in it can be done in AI too. Usually better...LOL.

just a few words to thank you for the comment on "Ligeia's death" and to explain what it was about.
Actually Ligeia comes from the greek mythology and means "melodious" .It is also the name given to sirens.
And as my two creatures are kind of creatures from liquid depths I decided to call my work "Ligeia's death".
It may be the death of the creature you see on the picture, it could also be the death of a whole race of sirens.
The death of creatures who now live in our dreams but who may used to live like any other creatures..one day..
