Goes to show that someone actually took the time to read it.
Art might have an immediate appreciation but I think reading a story or poem is enjoyed far longer than any artwork seen..

I couldn't agree more, A story in my opinion will always be appreciated for far longer
Very few pieces of art ever become that renowned that it will stay appreciated for a long time

Even things like the Mona Lisa.. your average person will look at it for maybe a bout 3 or 4 minutes tops
Before they move on.
Something about reading something.. it's different every time you do back to read it.
Something I read yesterday I will see in a different perspective today. And I find that at times I will pick out something from it that I didn't see or understand before.

Haha, I've seen the Mona Lisa with my own two eyes
You won't believe how small a picture it actually is xD
But I don't think I looked at for a minute, there was for more interesting paintings to be seen.

And thus is the beauty of writing, there is no image to see and you can make anything out of what you're given.
It's the sense of imagination from writing that I feel gives it it's appeal
I too are barely able to read the same writing the same way twice

Idk it's true many people will look at art for a few seconds, you know unless it's being worked on lol.

But yeah, writers give the reader freedom for the imagination.

Maybe so, I'd assume people would have looked for longer
I just didn't personally find it interesting
if it's being worked on people would only look for as long as it took them to figure out what was being drawn xD

Everyone has their interest.
I spend maybe like a few moments looking at any drawing but I always tend to come back and look at it again if I liked it that much soo... I guess that would add up over time
