yes i am new and i was wandering exactly hows does this system work? Because sometimes it shows my pictures and sometimes it doesn't. And I got an email saying that I put my pictures in the wrong thing so could you help me out with that please?

The reason it "sometimes shows your pictures and sometimes doesn't" is because DA's been doing maintinence lately. Also, if you're using Internet Explorer to browse DA, you might have trouble seeing things because there's a bug, apparently, that makes it so that images don't always show up. That problem doesn't show up with other web-browsers - I reccommend Mozilla Firefox.

Also, about putting your images in the right category. Basically, if you drew your image entirely on the computer (or just coloured the lineart on the computer), it goes in digital.
But, if you do it by hand, it belongs in the traditional category.
Here's what ^silentkitty has to say about it (she's one of the gallery directors)
Under Traditional Art there is now an anime/anthro section. In this section should go your pieces done in traditional mediums. For example - pencil, watercolor, marker, crayon, paint, etc. ALL anime and anthro styled pieces done in traditional mediums should go under this category, with the exception of fanart.
