Hehe, you aren't just taking those AP classes because they are fun!

The SAT and other standardized tests have a bias preference for typicallyupper middle-class groups, by providing the student with material that they could possibly have more exposure to. Those in poverty and poverty-stricken areas aren't given the amount of resources needed. And historically it has been said that SATs favor males, as they are the type to score the highest.

They claim that the SAT is something that isn't a test of intelligence, but a test of critical thinking, but really all standardized tests have more faults than gains. It shows that and expects that the people who are taking it have been given the knowledge that can help them "score well". But some people do not have the resources to prepare, and traditionally the upper-class elite are known to score high.

The same goes to IQ tests, when they were originally created, it was made to show that some people will not benefit going to college, and should instead enlist in a trade.

I find that oral exams, math, and essay writing is the only way to properly show that someone's prepared for college, because it allows the grader to understand the thought process and the methods the person uses. But, we cannot afford for that to happen, so we have to resort to these terrible exams.

That doesn't mean I'm "super smart" though, just that I am willing to put in time. (and money for that matter)

That all makes sense, I was just musing about that....The SAT is hard enough for people who pay hundreds of dollars for the classes...for people who can barely afford to take the test....

Writing, talking to friends, helping people cope and crud like that, oh and speaking...not in front of a crowd but I do pretty well with a small group of people...

My lisp/accent makes it hard to do so though...I tend to be pretty quiet...

I don't know....people ask me if I'm from the oddest places...I blame it on my parents.

My mom is from New York while my dad is from Chicago...his family lives primarily in Arkansas and Texas while her's still lives in New York...

So I'd say a conglomerate of three or four areas....
