haha thanks. I was looking through my stats a few days ago (because I was just given a Premium), and I realized that almost all of my art was alien/extraterrestrial stuff. XD Ah well, obsessions will be what obsessions will be.

Wow! Congratulations in being given a Premium! I think you do deserve it.
And I don't think there's anything wrong in doing just one genre/theme in art, most artists do that anyway.

Honestly I think doing alien/extraterrestrial related stuffs is always a good way in stimulating imagination from a... well, a logical anatomically/biology perspective. That will normally will boost the brain power positively, because by drawing it, you will come to awareness with nature and to observe creatures in a more detailed way.

I really hope I'm making some sense here. My writing/verbal skills has been dropped down to the baseline level just recently.

I shall have to work on more of my original species sometime. They need to incorporate more "alien" like physiology, because we are so used to thinking terrestrially, it's sometimes really hard to think outside the box -- err atmosphere.
Now that I'm taking bio classes, it's helped think more anatomically and evolutionarily, too.

Taking biology-related classes does help a lot, I happened to know just another person who's doing pretty much similar stuffs. She doesn't really draw, though, she writes. Kinda more like theory-crafting on Mass Effect aliens.

Just try jot down everything when the idea hits you, inspiration is based on accumulative work.
