Thanks. I went to RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) and had a great time and some great teachers, but it's by no means a requirement if you're looking at getting into fantasy art. Look at the work coming out of Wizards of the Coast and try to visit any related conventions that you can. I don't have much in terms of tutorials, but there is one of mine in issue 69 of Imagine FX from a few months back.

Thank so much! I'll look into finding any conventions nearby that I can get to. And I checked out Wizards of the Coast and it's amazing! Thank you again! I'll also try to dig up a copy of that issue of IFX, I just wish they weren't so expensive

The pharos of alexandria -- the waves are just out of this world... I just can't seem to wrap my mind on how you did those waves... I'll keep watching your page... I hope that you can share the process of those waves... I would definitely love to learn how you did that. Water waves are hard to do. Thanks man.

Haha I would say aim high (i.e. better than me) . I spend a lot of time looking at artists of the Hudson River School.. Bierstadt, Church, Turner; and some more modern artists like Lars Grant-West, Ray Swanland, and Jamie Jones. Any kind of myth is always a wealth of inspiration to me too.
