They are actual accounts that people made for the purpose of using the avatar as an icon. For example, you put to show the avatar, or in this case, the emoticon

As far as finding them, I just search for groups, or when I come across the icon I click on it to go to the page and then add that user to my friends list so I can go back and use the icon again if I can't remember the name of it


...did that make any sense?
