I am posting this here so that you may choose whether to allow others to see it.
Intelectual? Yes.
On a high horse? Only someone who doesn't know me (even if only through this site and my journals here) would think so.
It says you have been a member here for 2 weeks. That's not long enough to learn the ins and outs, ups and downs of DeviantArt. There are basically two large groups of artists here, Kint.
1,Anime/hentai fanatics, mostly (but not all) female, mostly very young. Younger than you. Their talent is questionable, as are their actual reasons for being members on DA.
2,More serious creative types, who want to interact with other artists to learn and share ideas.
The two groups rub each other raw.
I fall into the second category.
Lately, there's been an upswelling on this site against the "feel good", politically correct, watered down comments that the "kawaii!" crowd seem to insist upon giving and receiving. Also, many here are tired of those who use the web's ability to shield indentity as an excuse to engage the keyboard long before engaging the brain.
I am tired of both.
No matter how long, or how much you allow yourself to rely on the anonimity the web provides, to state opinion without a reasoned, considered point of view to back it up, you will always run affoul of those who consider their brains to be their primary tool for generating an idea or opinion, not their fingers.
An easy way to avoid this in the future, especially as regards the Art Scene forum, is to read a full page, or perhaps even two, of the comments and responses of a given thread, before you post your comments.
In any case, please feel free to comment on my posts as often, and whenever, you wish.
You may discover I am an open-minded, reasonable sort of guy.
