oh man OCs, every one of my artsy friends has those and they all look so awesome and I'm like "OK I'LL MAKE ONE TOO OR SOMETHING YEAH". Then I open up sai or photoshop and doodle for 30 minutes trying to thing of something cool before just closing the page, looool.

I am the fastest at responses sometimes but yes ORIGINAL CHARACTERS ARE HARD AND I'M KIND OF INARTICULATE WITH THEM USUALLY I'M JUST LIKE WHAT IF THERE WAS A SUPERGENIUS LADY WHO WAS ANGRY MOST OF THE TIME AND BUILT GUNS WHAT IF SHE HAD A KID WITH SUPERSPEED WHAT IF HE HAD ABANDONMENT ISSUES BECAUSE SHE WAS TOO BUSY BEING A SUPERHERO TO GO TO HIS BASEBALL GAMES and then suddenly I have characters.

OH MAN THAT'S WHAT I TRY TO DO. it seems to work for other people but when I start to do it my face slowly goes into something like this: and I start drawing fat kittens in various hats.

I think it's cause I feel the need to have some kind of plot that I know I'll never make and then I feel dumb. I'M STARTING TO DRAW MORE OFTEN, I SHOULD LOOSEN UP. :I

Oh most of these people are from plots I know I'll never be able to do anything with but I do it anyway. And I don't know but fat kittens in hats sounds pretty wonderful to me even though that wasn't the desired result at all maybe you could make an OC that's a fat kitten in a hat maybe they're an emissary from the dimensional plane of adorable.
