Hello to all of my fellow writers. I've recently finished my novel and am trying to find representation. Finding an agent/publisher is hard for a first time author.

Looking to write a short story based on a married couple. Maybe it will read kind of like a diary. Scott is a tall, lanky business man, never able to put on any muscle and is married to Sara, a short, dark haired lady. She's a housewife, mother and a nationally ranked competitive bodybuilder.

I'm a bit confused... one of the rules is no prosetry, but would you categorise this as Prosetry? I'm not sure what prosetry exactly is, where is the line between that and actual prose, so i thought I'd better ask (:

actually, the rules state that yes, prosetry is allowed in the group. Read the second rule on the main page again. Hope that helps

Um, I'm confused. You said in your rules of submissions that you "accept short stories, short short stories and flash fiction" but then say that "flash fiction/vignettes are not allowed." You also say that "short stories can be in between 1,000 ~ 20,000 words" and that "length of your short stories can be up to 2500 words long." So what do you accept exactly?

Personally I go by the 1000-20,000 word rule, though, because that's what it's defined as in the publishing world.

There isn't a strict word limit, but keep in mind that short stories by definition run about 1000-20,000 words.
