I just love how you don't confine yourself to one style of art!
And I really love your colouring styles, especially with the gray scale prismacolour ones. I've been trying to get my head around digital art, but can't seem to find a colouring style that I'm suited to. Maybe I'll try markers seeing as your stuff looks so awesome (:

Either one is pretty good. Unlike the program at CalArts in California for animation. OOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH *quivers with joy*, that is a WONDERFUL sounding course. Trouble is, with residence fees and all, it would cost me about $100,000 a year for 4 years.

Absolutely, as I am doing, also. I have separate goals depending on which class I get into. Both of which I plan to take to, in due time, either Japan (anime) or Hollywood (Disney).

I've pretty much been an anime fan most of my life, but I've really become extremely picky about which shows or films I really like, since anime has weaker production quality than most animation studios here.

Anyways, if you want to work in animation or graphic art, here;s a girl whose art you should observe. She graduated from CalArts 5 years ago.

Her stuff is awesome!

But yeah, same goes for me. I'm planning on becoming an Animation Director, and I'm been heavily influenced by Hayao Miyazaki. I am struggling right now to find a style I'm happy with... I would like something in between cartoonish and realistic. I'm trying to wipe out any anime influence I have in my art. I love love love watching it, but I would rather have my own unique style, yanno?

Absolutely. I am exactly the same way. I have a real hard time finding accessibility in styles with anime. The only real vantage point you can gain from anime is a honed sense of fine lining. Other than that, it's good to stretch your options and try to find other areas which you can grow on.
