Heya! Actually 99% of my photos are digital these days...being a brokeass grad student, film photography can be quite an expensive hobby. What you're seeing is my adjustment to a new camera. I had formerly been using Nikons (the 4500 and 95), I'm now using a Canon G2 and I'm getting used to it's nuances. That panoramic was one of the first photos I shot with this new contraption, and the day was bad...it was hazy and overcast...no direct sun and poor shadows. It comes with this stitching program which isn't bad, but it doesn't compensate for gradient changes, so I'll have to do some Photoshopping.

Thanks for your great comment. I listen to a wide variety of music when I paint... anything from Marilyn Manson to Celtic instrumental and folk depends on my mood. (never rap or hip hop)

Hey Faraz! Actually the bushes are small...I had to crouch down reaaally low to get the shot, the zone is about a foot off the ground. Thanks for the comment.

Thank you for your comment on that orchid shot. I'm glad u like the cropping . As for the details in the photo, i actually shrunk that shot down from its original size of 1600 by 1200 so it could have been more detailed but at the expense of file size. Off to your gallery

Thank-you for commenting on my deviation, The Bite. ( :~mikromouse : ).
I love shooting on fast film with high grain count. In this case it was Infrared film, and I personally love the effect it has on people..
Now...if I could get it down below $12 bucks a roll...

Ooo ... Oooo ... ooo .... Sapphire .... *drool* ... my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. Love that stuff.
What I came here to say was ... thank you for your comments on "Artifacts v2" [link] I'm glad you liked it! It was just a collection of otherwise crappy shots, I'm really surprised at the response its gotten. Not that I'm complaining
I got distracted by the Sapphire bottle when I got here. Hehehehe...
Keep up the good work! You're fitting into DA nicely.

Thanks so much for the comment on the Night Mare series of shots.
The camera is a Nikon Coolpix 995. I could not take a tripod on the ride so I braced the camera against one of the stationary horses and metered on the darkness of the horse to set the exposure. That way the hosre would be black against the background.

The settings were whatever my cheap ass digital camera has as default. I was pissed at it, and mistreating it by throwing it around, but.. hey, sometimes it surprises me. I'm saving up for a real camera soon.

Thanks for the comment on Big Stick of Fire . The photo was indeed taken by the lovely and talented Kara, and I've passed your comment along to her. She's elated, as she doesn't get many comments on her photos. I hope she gets more so her confidence will get the boost she needs to become a member of DA herself. Anyway, thanks a million.
