screening room and forced him to watch videos of BAMBI, DUMBO, E.T. and
LASSIE COME HOME to make him curb our outrageous military spending and
the extremely violent and predatory image we have all over the world.
Of course, that was not his reasoning. Everything seems to go back to
the dollar, which is evidently more important than human lives anyway.
That will not change what is going on in Iraq, but each day I read the
tolls of dead in suicide bombings, and those tragedies are beginning to
melt together for me. I ask myself, “Now was that twenty-one today and
sixty -one yesterday?” I wonder if our government is keeping track.
There is no longer even the attempt to justify why we are there. Is
democracy really working there? Does it have a chance anywhere that we
deem it should? Are we actually diminishing the chances of terrorism or
increasing them? We really need to sit down with George W and have a
long talk with him.

I can't say too much, though. Tampering with Social Security and this hyper-Keynesean attitude Bush keeps flaunting is pissing me off. Purple Thumbs in Iraq are great and all, but doesn't really fully balance the equation when he screws the pooch back home, now does it?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not really anti-conservative, just anti-propaganda. I'm personally just as against liberal propaganda as conservative. Saying "liberals are good and conservatives are bad" is propaganda in itself. I don't roll like that. I think some people in this club may though.

Write up, and support my campaign for admin; plus take care any on-site battles. My goal will be to redefine this site as left-wing politics only; cause Righties and Lefties have no business working together, and right-wing propaganda has been the main problem for many many years. The Right-wingers can have their own anti-propaganda club as far as I'm concerned. The main admins are all lefties anyway. Not to mention that it's my personal belief that right-wingers are evil demented fucks. But that's just me calling a spade a spade. I'll start out with a contest for an icon, that'll get everyone involved; they cal all vote for the icon and such. I think the key to success of a group is to give the people interesting ways of working with the group. Instead of just "This guy will post something, and we'll give you points to sucessfully attack him." What it ought to be is that we're all working together for one main goal, Deprogram USA; Deprogram Americans, the most propagandized people on earth.

yea, alright... that's good, that's good. but part of what inspired me to create this was built up resentment towards the "fuck bush" crowd, the fact that they have this vague awareness that something horrible is wrong with our government but don't know what it is and a lot of them rely on a bunch of conspiracy theories that are just as horribly wrong as the propaganda spread out by the government. and there's an endless number of smoke screens we're going to have to deal with if we're going to do this successfully so both governmental propaganda, corporate, and conspiracy theories as well need to be destroyed

Sort of like Mythbusters, I see. But political ideas aren't all about facts and figures. A lot of has to do with who you are as a person, the things that you value. No amount of facts or figures will convince the racist that bombing brown people is wrong; or that lunching black people is wrong, the truth is they just care. They're evil fuckers, and it really isn't much more complicated than that. I'll do what I can to destroy the myth that Global Warming presents no threat to mankind, and I might do it here or on my own club.

That is very sadly true. Nothing is ever going to stop us from teaching ourselves to make distinctions by colour as we grow up either, which is why we are doomed. More people need to try their best not to be hypocrites and to change things, and maybe we might just move a little forward - thank God we don't live in China though.

I don't like to be thankful for where I live, cause given the right situation (and we certainly have that) American could become as bad or worse than any of the countries we're so glad to not be living in. Political nightmares are real, and they sweep in on a nation like a grand storm. That's what happened to America, we got so arrogant that 'it could never happen here' like in Germany and Japan and all those countries we have considered threats. So sure of our grand democracy we let it slip through our fingers as we took it all for granted.

Evolution takes a lot of reasoning and intuition to understand, given what we understand of natural selection and laws and such it's just incredibly likely. Or you could go with the 'God made it all' crap, and the easter bunny hypothesis, and the santa clause theory ect. ect. Or you could use that good logical brain God gave you to figure out he doesn't even exist

It's impossible to prove evolution. The only way would be to witness it, and to do that, we'd have to go back to when life was created and speed up time, or we would have to make it happen, which we have done with single celled organisms, but that's not good enough for creationists. It's a no win situation for evolution believers, because whatever you say, creationists can reply with "God made that happen."

And the leaders of the church profited off of the people's blind worship, such as with the indulgences that the Catholic church sold, which they claimed could get a dead relative out of pergatory. Or how about the law that Catholic preists can't get married? Is it because they need to devote all of their love to god? Of course not.
