Once upon a time... there were four ancients created by Corruption..
all was peaceful for a while until their differences caused a war!

...

There once was an evil being of incredible power named Corruption which resides within the Void, over time it grew bored with it’s life...
So it created what would be known as the Ancients.

4 of them had been created, and let them choose their own paths of fate,
Unknown to Them, Corruption was later planning to steal their new found power for Its own selfish uses.

The first took the form of a Dragon, In the Shape of the concept of Heroism

The second took the form of a Griffin, In the Form of the concept of Darkness.

The third took the form of a Phoenix. Taking shape as Forgiveness, and Future Change.

And last took the form of a Minotaur, Chaos, and Destruction...

Put Simply The Dragon Was The Ancient Of Heroism, The Griffin is the Ancient of Darkness, Phoenix the ancient of Forgiveness, and Minotaur Of Destruction.

Together they created the floating islands over their creators' Void to live on, But they would soon realize that they were bored, and directionless in their eternal life, so they created creatures out of the dirt of the islands in their image to keep them company, so all wasn’t so lonesome now.

But they… realized by doing this they also felt weaker...

The energy used also served as their life force, as a result the more power they used, the less powerful they were in the end.. And if used up.. Served Fatal, but that if rested for long enough amounts of time.. their energy could be replenished, sometimes Countless Cycles of the single sun.

The ancients noticed that the void was growing restless, And they heard The Voice of nonexistence calling out to them that their time was growing near….

Their Creator had betrayed them! In return to fend off the void, The elements were Created!

Each element was created based on their views on how they should deal with the problem.

The first element, the element of Light, and Heroism was created by The Ancient Of Heroism, their view was to protect the other ancients, their land, and the animals on it, but lost their cool often, which became the element of good deeds, willpower, as well as, committing heroic acts to help others.
The second element, The Element Of Darkness was created by Griffin. This element represented helping others the best you could but doing things mostly to keep yourself safe, it could be used for evil however, as well, a cruel double sided Element it was.

The third element, The Element Of Forgiveness, Neutrality, and openness to improve was created by the Phoenix; this element represented hiding, and staying out of the matter, but seeing things from a differing perspective each time, it was seen as a lesser element, and it represented forgiveness, the ability to let things go an important element neither the less.

The Last element, The Element Of Chaos was created by the Minotaur this element represented, revenge, fighting back, and Destruction this was the element of evil. It was powered by draining surrounding energy from its sources as well as The Void this element was notably the most Dangerous. But something else was off, it could link between the other 3, despite this terrible flaw, it served as a link of sorts, and it served a crucial purpose.
