Back in 2020, I did a series of images about Superman in the Marvel universe. I thought it was high time for something similar and putting a character in the world of DC. I thought about various Marvel characters to use but none felt right. So I turned to my favorite manga, Berserk. So here we have Guts in DC Part 1
Guts in DC Part 1 Child of Death:
Gotham is a cruel and dark city. Death, disease, crime, and terror, all run rampant. Many took their opportunity in this town, including the mercenary Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke. He had stumbled upon something interesting during a job he was doing in Gotham. A dead woman hanging by a street light. Most likely done by one of Gotham's various criminals. But it wasn't the woman he was interested it was what was under it. Somehow the woman was pregnant and had managed to give birth, so crying now in a pool of blood and after birth was a small baby. Perhaps it was pity or the opportunity but Deathstroke took the child as his own.

Slade immediately put the baby through the process that gave him his abilities, a process that nearly killed him. Miraculously again the baby survived and became healthier the ever. Slade named the child Guts and began to train him. Guts took to the training well and became a master in combat. Slade even began to notice that Guts was growing stronger with each day being able to lift weapons twice his size. Eventually, Slade decides to take Guts out on a mission and give him the codename Kid Death.

Guts did well on missions and did everything he could to please his father. However, that would lead to tragedy. Slade was never a good father, not even to his biological kids. Slade would see Guts grow stronger every day and begin to notice that his strength was deteriorating. Slade began to get jealous and jumped to the conclusion that the process he used to give Guts his strength was sapping away his and giving it to Guts. And there was only one solution to that.

In the dark of the night, Slade surprised and attacked Guts as he was sleeping, however, Guts reacted just fast enough to grab his sword and strike. In the heat of it all Guts didn't even realize what was happening and acted on instinct and by the time it was over it was too late. He had cut Slade's head clean off. Scared, traumatized, and confused Guts was afraid that Deathstroke's allies and children would come after him. and so Guts ran.
