oh, well that's mainly due to it being N's backstory, which in general is still pretty dark
all of the N arc kinda is because it's all about taking control of Pokemon in order to try and invade the world
That's why Ghetsis has hired Colress, so he can take control of Reshiram and thereby rule the world
