“As an actor I was rejected, and my paintings and photographs were found lacking. However if I mixed them all together, they birthed things that existed nowhere else. For convenience, I call this the “triathlon of beauty.” I’m unable to create paintings as a painter. I’m unable to take photographs as a photographer. I’m unable to perform as an actor. But in bundling all these things together into the wandering self called Morimura Yasumasa, I recognized that anything was possible.”
