Well, my winter break is coming to an end and to cap it off I thought I'd end with a theme of heartfelt apologies.
I'm still going to be checking in on a daily basis, and I BET I can get some stuff uploaded during the semester- but things will definitely be slow for a while again.Side Note: I really do

Oh, nice. They're turning a mundane & annoying conversation into something truly beautiful, by the end. (Only played ToS, here; had no idea Ion was male until I looked at the comments.)
I'd disagree about the vocabulary being beyond Colette, though. She wasn't allowed to leave the village or play rough, and she had to study under Raine and the priests and everything; I imagine the vocabulary she knows is biased more towards the scholarly than the worldly, and she keeps things simple most of the time out of stress and friendship with Lloyd. She really should've been given more time in the second half of the game - I wish we'd gotten to see her cut down the overapolgising once she was allowed to think 'I want to live' without the guilt of 'omg but then the whole world will DIE!!!' attached...

Interesting line of thought there...! I admit, I haven't thought nearly as much about Symphonia or put all the nuts and bolts together as much as I had for some of the other games in the series. ^~; BUT SURE- MAYBE HE IS THE REASON FOR HER SIMPLENESS. As Sheena quips to Colette in one of those 'victory skits': "You've been hanging around Lloyd again, haven't you?"

I figure, if you come across a fluffy little dog, and you know that it could technically be described as a diminutive hirsute canine but have no reason to call it that, and you don't know any dog-based slang or swear words, and you're trying to be happy and comprehensible for your friend Lloyd, what are you going to call it other than a fluffy little dog? Or a cutesy pet name, obviously. ^.^

Psst... "I implore you to seek my forgiveness" and "You have my utmost sympathies" aren't apologies... The first implies that it's Ion fault and the second is kind of like saying "your situation sucks". lol.

Luke's standing there like Nyamo in the volleyball scene, and then when the screen moves to the sky and such, she says something to the effect of, "This is so..." or "It's so..." I can't remember.. XD;

"It's so..." came from the original fansub (y'know, the one that had classic lines like Yukari's "You bourgeois piece of shit!") - although between the fan/official versions and the manga/animation versions, there's a lot of different quotes used for the same scenes... XD;
