Anne McCaffrey should pick you to do concept art!! That actually looks like an alien life form. It could be Ruth and Jaxum. Could use a few ridges on the eyes and back of the skull.

I like how you stayed pretty accurate to Anne's description of her dragons instead of just drawing Ruth as a generic fantasy dragon(tm). And your use of shades and colours on him look beautiful.

I agree that the dragon and the man in the picture look like Jaxom and Ruth. I've read most of the pretty much all of the "Dragonriders of Pern" books in the series, and that picture matches the description of that particular pair.
