Hm... but what if when you flex your stomach muscles, you still can't find your abs? xD I'm skinny but so not muscular in anyway, shape, or form. :3
Btw... LOVE this.

I'm so glad you made this! My friend and I are planning to do a Bleach cosplay sometime in the future and I was going as Grimmjow. Being a girl, I was scared I was going to get stuck using a dumb skin colored cloth binding and it was going to look stupid. Now I can look forward to an awesome cosplay! Now people will REALLY think I' a dude.

This was very helpful! I am cheap, so it's nice to know that mortal humans can actually achieve this quality without losing all their money. Most informative!

Abessinier In reply to IridiumFlames [2011-11-23 19:56:40 +0000 UTC]
I guess it's the only possible technique for open chest binding?
However for binding beneath shirts I would not suggest it- as I said, this can hurt a lot etc... you better sew your own binder out of very elastic fabric!

IridiumFlames In reply to Abessinier [2011-11-24 07:17:41 +0000 UTC]
Oh, I have a real non-cosplay binder for beneath shirts- I've used ACE bandages once and the lack of air/pain was reason enough to get a real one. But I am glad you've posted this tutorial because now should I ever want to wear a low-necked or shirtless costume I can! (assuming I lose some weight first...)

Aaah good thing! Many people think I use this method even for binding beneath shirts so I get all alerted and tell everyone that nooooo no there is a less painful variant if i think i got the slightest hint they might want to use the technique under shirts "
i really hope its gonna work for you! ;D

Thank you! Yah, I have to stop living off of sweets first though- I'm trying to avoid at all costs wearing something unflattering just because I can, and my body will NOT be flattered by this if I do it now.

You mean the tape-method or the make-up?
๐: 0 โฉ: 1
Abessinier In reply to Captain-bender [2011-08-18 12:05:28 +0000 UTC]
I think that won't be worth the pain this might cause and the cost of a roll of tape better make a binder out of elastic material and add suspenders to it. It's what I do, takes 5mins to make and you can use it over and over again if you wash it. It's also very comfortable

Your tutorials are awesome and I will be using this one for reference for my skincolored shirt that I use for my open shirt cosplay now.
I would like to inform those who are thinking of doing anyform of binding please please think about your size cause no matter how careful you are things can always turn bad.
I am not a small girl chest wise and I have taped ...it was only once because my binder had gone missing..once is all it took for me to buy a professional binder. I have scars both on my back and front that are my proof why this can be VERY Dangerous.
Please if you try this please have a freind your trust to help you and try not to be binded more ten you need to. I went all day saturday and it was a bad mess.
Again these methods are good but always be careful

Abessinier In reply to LuffyGirl [2011-08-14 00:49:00 +0000 UTC]
that's actually the message I wanted to pass (see part one)...
i thought i had informed enough about the fact that the method can hurt and/or scar people.
and of course it is just for open chest binding. not beneath shirts.
