Aha! Argon finally get a new reference, poor bean has been neglected for years. A bit of a redesign and much more committed to the fluffy sheep look.
He is the adopted child, as far as slatepaws do that, of Shale and Zenti. They get to be a source of goofy parent/child jokes in the comic that they'll eventually show up in.
Also to be a plot device at some point, he's purple because of magic nonsense, so magic nonsense will follow him.
