Woolaffe's coat covers it from head to toe when it fully evolves. They walk in groups of thirty members in order to protect their young from predators. When walking around it freezes the ground solid or a lake that prevents it from crossing.

You know how the Ice Age had wooly Mammoths and rhinos. Then I though to myself wouldn't it be cool to see a wooly giraffe during the Ice Age. So that's how the idea came to life.
