This would've been better if I'd actually been drawing something with perspective. Then you could've drawn perspective of drawing perspective. The moment was lost!

You hold your pencil funny.
My nephew says to me 'he can't draw', but when I watch him try to grip my wacom pen in his left hand like he's trying to strangle a swan or something, the fact that he can't draw doesn't surprise me.
Maybe lesson 1 of ANY drawing course should be "How To Hold A Pen!"
