March 23, 2010 - TuesdaySilver strikes, and a red sea rises.
An eye twitches, as each nerve is touched.
A mouth slightly open, as each breath is shortened.
Digging deeper;
another silver strike, the two red seas conjoin.
Tick, tick
sounds tiny little splats.
Tick, tick, again on the floor.
Salty water leaks from the eyes.
Lip quivering.
Numb to the bone.
Clang!
The stinging sound of metal
on a hardwood floor.
hands shaking, broken faith,
Sinking down to rest on the floor.
Eyes closed, breathing steadily.
Calmed crying, trembling ceased.
You've never been so unmoving.
