Rainbow Danger Dash
'Rainy'

Rainbow Dash is the only child of Rainbow Blaze and Raindancer, and the niece of Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles. She is currently sharing a leadership role with Spitfire in the Wonderbolts, and is also a general Flight instructor on the side, along with occationally temping in the School of Friendship.

Some headcanon pieces:

- RD is half unicorn! Her mother Raindancer is a unicorn, and uses a perminant varient of the Cloudwalking Spell to live in Cloudsdale.
- Sadly, for a long time, RD didn't actually know about her real parents - her father went missing during a Wonderbolt's mission and her mother got into a serious accident while playing in the park with a baby RD that lead her to being put into a magic indiced coma to keep her alive, leading to Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles raising her but keeping her real parents a secret for now. She learns about this very late into life (after events of the show, but set before 'finale' episode).
- Rainbow is VERY small for a pegasus, and is considered as a 'runt' by pony society. Due to her small size, it took her longer than most foals to fly, and even longer to properly control herself at high speeds, hence the nickname 'Rainbow Crash'
- For a huge portion of her life, she is a closeted lesbian - caused primerily, also, by her school bullies - and she only ends up coming to terms with it after an unsuccessful relationship with Soarin
- Rainbow is the very definition of Tsundere, and is very tough outwardly but soft secretly. She feels the need to be tougher and more cold than she actually is because of how small/fragile she looks, and now she struggles to share (or even handle) her true feelings properly
- Rainbow Dash has NEVER witnessed a death in her life - neither of a loved one, or a pet. She's been shielded from it for her whole life, which is what lead to her very explosive outburst during Tanks first hibernation period with her. She actually thought he was going to die, and leave her alone forever, which also stems from very fuzzy memories of her true parents (but she doesn't know that yet)
- RD likes to secretly make nests using clouds, covers, pillows, plushies - basically anything soft or warm. She ESPECIALLY loves sharing these nests with her loved ones and close friends, but it took her years to open up enough about this more 'cutesy' side with her friends
