Are those airplanes F8F Hellcats or P-51 Mustangs?

The one in the foreground is an F6F Hellcat. The F8F's the "Bearcat." As for the other one, it's a japanese fighter. Don't know what it is exactly. ...and I think it's a Nakajima Ki-87. It'sΒ a Japanese high-altitude fighter-interceptor.

Hm, a very nice piece indeed, and featuring my favorite color scheme: silver and blue.
Funny, y'know, I'd never have thought of this as "steampunk..." The airship almost seemed too high-tech at first glance. Upon close examination, however, I can easily see the inspired (and inspiring) elements of good ol' steamers.

My dad introduced me to a lot of those old WW II flyboys that flew Mustangs and P-47s etc over Europe. My dad flew B-17s.
Besides the horror and the terror, think they all had a ball flying.
Try and do maybe a B-29 or a B-17...The Flying Fortress
