I've heard some people question why he isn't worried about his sister or mother O.o the best answer I can come up with is that he's just unable to process it. The more likely answer is that he's a psychopath :/
To be honest I don't like 2k12's protrayal of Casey Jones; Previously he may have been a hockey head, but he meant well and was generally a nice person. This Casey Jones is a jerk to April to get her attention (and for some reason, the author's thinks that April is supposed to find this attractive :/ ) he doesn't care much about doing the right thing and just wants to fight for... reasons? And whenever something sad happens, he seems to have little reaction to it.
