Description

The six eared macaque is a character in the classic work "Journey to the West" and one of the "Four Mixed Monkeys", with abilities comparable to those of Sun Wukong.
The six eared macaque appeared after Tang Monk drove Sun Wukong away for the second time. He pretended to be Sun Wukong, knocked down Tang Monk, took away the burden, and occupied the Water Curtain Cave of Huaguo Mountain. He wanted to form a scripture gathering team to go to the West. Later, they met and fought with Sun Wukong. They fought from heaven to the ground, and all the immortals and Buddhas could not distinguish between truth and falsehood. In the end, they fought to the west where the Tathagata was. The Tathagata Buddha identified the six eared macaque and captured it with a bowl, but was beaten to death by Sun Wukong with a single blow.
