Boy, this is old XDThe sketch for this picture was made when "Howl's moving castle" was first played in cinemas, that was... years ago XD
I really liked that movie and made this fanart for it, I even began to color it with watercolors. And then I dropped it for whatever reason and it lay somewhere between unfinished pictures, sad and alone for years, until just recently, when i dug it up and decided to finish the poor thing.
And I must say, I'm damn proud of how it came out :> I mixed some markers coloring with watercolors and I really enjoyed painting this. The only thing I'm not satisfied with would be his pants, black is not the best color to do with watercolors :<
But other than that I like this picture so I won't complain much :>

My god this is stunning, that was the first thing that came to mind when I clicked on the link for it. I love how delicately he's standing, but how dynamic you made everything else around him, and drew the movement towards his character. The attention to detail is absolutely fantastic, especially in the feathers and folds in his coat. I like your choice to mix markers with the water colour, it really brightens up the colouring in areas and livens up the image. I feel your pain though, when it comes to trying to use black water colours, I've only used water colours a handful of times, but black was a pain. However, I like that some colour came through in your black, and it's not deep and inky. In this way it doesn't stand out too much on the image, and just blends in with the rest while still holding its dark essence. Lovely fireworks in below him there, I like how it looks like he's just risen above all of that in the sky, and I like how you added a little bit of colour around the frame and border. Yeah, I was watching Howl's Moving Castle for like the 100th and decided to look up some fan art again, I am really happy to have come across this piece. Even if it's old, it's a lovely piece of work and you should continue to be very proud of it.
