Description X86 Only

This is the final version of the Windows 7 Refresh Pack.

After two months(actually) of searching, making, modifying and tweaking the system files, I have managed to compile a comprehensive collection of modifications if you like for the Windows 7 Platform.

This pack comes in two versions. One for the newest Service Pack 1 Beta V. 178 for Windows 7 and one for the original Windows 7 (with the latest updates included in the files).

Both download links are on the mediafire.com servers.

Fixes:
-No more .NET Framework 4 Updates required;
-You can now install over the original RefreshPack 0.8 with no problem;

Download Links:
-Service Pack 1 V. 178 (build 6.1.7601.16672):[link]
-Original Windows 7 (build 6.1.7601.16450):[link]

Thank you for you proven support! Have a nice day!

i installed on 64bit and i didnt know it wasnt supported.. at first after logon a black screen appeared and an error message "explorer.exe Class not registered"
anyway i fixed that i replaced the modified explorer exe file with another one through task manager and tried to restore..although some bugs still remain.. for example i don't have aero UI in some programmes like mtorrent and the bar with close/minimize buttons is gone from firefox! anyone having the same problem or at least a solution?

Yep, and the solution is easy: Download grml (or any other linux live image with ntfs-support) and boot it from USB or CD. Mount your hdd (mount.ntfs-3g /dev/sdXX /mnt/sdXX). Replace XX with your partition number. Go to C:\Windows (cd /mnt/sdXX/Windows) and restore explorer.exe (mv explorer.exe explorer.exe2 && mv explorer.exe.bak explorer.exe). Reboot and Explorer will start again. If you need more help getting your system to work again, send me a message.

"i installed on 64bit and i didnt know it wasnt supported.. " you should've read the description, it said from the first row X86 Only. Sorry for the hassle, but it wasn't intended for x64 .

Looks awesome. I wanted to have some of those mods applied to my installation but it's a real shame that it's x86 only.

Man I still wish this was 64-bit compatible. I'm currently using this on my netbook which is Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit but it would be even better on my PC. ^.^

Anolis will fuse the Sevenize project with the Seven Refresh Pack so this will be available for both x86 and x64!

In a next release, if possible, make a custom installation option, so people can chose if they install the windows files (like new cursors, icons and tray icons) or the theme (.msstyle, navigation buttons, wmp mods, start orb, etc.)
If will help a lot some users, like me, that likes the new icons and cursors, but prefer the Windows 7 default theme.
Thank's

Man that's just perfect!
But I can't install it because I use x64 and pt-BR windows 7.

Please, in a next version, create a x64 and add other language support. (Maybe using Anolis [link] it be possible, like in XPize [link] )

Marrussa In reply to Marrussa [2010-12-08 22:56:52 +0000 UTC]

Just correcting:

I have tested it in a Windows 7 x86 pt-BR and it works great(w7 is multilingual)!
The only error I got is on wmp12 opening: [link]

But I use x64, then keep waiting...

dude, i cannot launch the media player anymore. And the logon screen background isnt pretty on some flat screens. i want the old style back. what do?

alexandru-r-ghinea In reply to elcraxoenormo [2010-09-20 07:38:43 +0000 UTC]

You can change the logon background, usually high contrast images don't look good on flat screens (I have a flat screen too) but mine is ok looking.
