Many thanks to all! I'm happy if you like it. It's one of small snowflake forms - simple hexagonal plate without arms. This type can be seen often, but they very small, usually 1-2 millimeters, not bigger, and by naked eye it's almost impossible to see their beautiful inner patterns. In fact, it's my favourite snowflake type.

This one looks like a cut glass Christmas ornament.
Simplistic, yet exceedingly beautiful!
To think how such beauty was created...
So seemingly random, yet not.
Experiments with sand or water on a metal sheet reveal that such patterns will form at very, VERY specific frequencies.
It's incredible when you realize that this droplet must have encountered and "recorded" those specific tones just as it was changing form from liquid to crystaline solid.
