Awww i love your shading!!! your anatomy is great tho that first finger on the stick looks a bit to big but thats just me. I love it muchies anyway *hug* The muscle tone is amazing and the expression on his face is to die for. The stance is wonderful. I really love his furriness! And again, I envy your skills as an artist all around - the lineart is amazing, the pose is active, the coloring is great, and the character has presence! I like the detail on the wood! Great work!

LOVE his smile!! That's the first thing I noticed. It shone through the everything else that I shall now comment on and praise.
I'm going to take it from the top, starting with the ears. I consider ears in furries to be incredibly expressive, as well as giving hints about the character's personality. His ears are completely straight, longer than usual, kinda like between fox and wolf. This, to me, tells me he's an alert character full of life, attentive to his surroundings, and enjoys it too.
Eyes are windows to the soul, and probably one of the things I love the most in characters. He's got beautiful eyes, like honeyed gold. They are very big and warm eyes, you can see the light of intelligence and the softness of a heart inside those pools, and I like how he seems to be staring right back at you, peering deep into you as well, though without seeming to be intruding on privacy.
The nose is big and cute, it goes wonderfully with the ears and the eyes, giving him a very youthful, playful mood that is perfectly balanced by other details like the bushy chin, that almost leonine chestruff, and big eyebrows. He may be a mature male, but he's not without his inner cub.
The neck is just powerful, a perfect connection to the rest of his body. The chest is a hero's chest, or at least, that's the image I get, proud and noble, strong and yet not overly done. Arms just ripple with strength, I like the detail on every muscle, and how you covered them with fur. He's got big, strong hands, but you can see a bit of delicacy in them, just as capable of a crushing squeeze on a rock as a gentle caress on a flower petal.
Making his waist smaller accentuates the strength of his upper body, but I must say that I admire you for how you didn't over exaggerate the small waist. Those are powerful legs he's got there, like two columns of sinew, muscle and fur that support all that RisingMoon. The tail is CUTE! Like the ears, it's halfway between wolf and fox ^-^
Green with brown stripes, I like those colours in him. Both are very simple, very natural colours (green as leaves, and brown as humble earth) that mirror his personality.
The shading is awe-inspiring. I must have spent at least three full minutes straing at how the light and shadow play on his shirt and pants. It's amazing, the subtlety and professionalism in every shade, like on the left sleeve, the edge that rolls a bit higher having just a small piece of less dark areas. I'm blown away by it all, but I wouldn't expect any less from you, Alpha
But the smile... I had to leave that for last. That grin was for me both the hook that drew me into writing this monster of a rant, and the crown that tops it all. It's a big, friendly grin, the kind that breaks all barriers and makes friends. I love how large that smile is, reaching over to the eye, lifting it up for an even better result. Wonderful.
I guess that's about it. This Ryan sure is a lucky guy, you drew him a masterpiece.

Kick arse AlphaLeo! Man, I really need to attempt this style of animation soon, mainly because of how detailed both the character and emotions can be (you can really see a charming personality by just looking at this characters eyes and mouth, plus he's green, so he must be really popular
