Looks like an "apocalypse today" photo
It's the first solar eclypse I've ever seen. I took this shot from my phone, using a smoked glass (I have no dark filtres or something like that, so I made it myself, using a fragment of glass and a candle). Cloudy weather and this glass gave a pretty unusual effect to a photo (:

You're lucky, in France, it was cloud, cloud, and cloud again and we see nothing....

the eclipse was so cool.
I didn't see most of it though because the teacher wouldn't let us out and even had us stay like 5 minutes later so we could watch some video. I saw some of it though. I just looked at it for less than 1 minute though and then I was going on about my life. The whole class was super upset (including me) even though we all didn't look at it for that long once we got the chance. we where just super nervous because we thought that we wouldn't get to see this solar eclipse that we would probably only get to witness once in our lifetime.

For this reason alone I went with the combination of 2 (dark sunglasses + smoked glass on a cloudless day) as well as the pinhole projector ... until I`ve come to the literal makeshift observatory that was put up just for the watching of this event.
