This is the second remix of the goodbye series, the more realistic one that i've been showing progress shots of as i progressed. The earth in itself took 4hours to create, and making the moons terrain was a bitch of a task... but each are the best i've created in context.So yeah, more depth in this, gave it a deeper feeling, better planet and moon, less chaos and more structure. It may be less to somes liking, but i like the outcome. I hope you do too
So yeah, terragen and photoshop, mostly the latter. Just over 100 layers, a weeks work worth apprx 30 hours. This is 50% original size.

well alyn... i don't know what to say! its awesome. beautiful depth to the image, although less explosive, a bit more emotion, a snapshot of before the major destruction? it captures a bit of anticipation for the astronaut, a bit of emotion in the art, which was wot u said u wanted to achieve with goodbye, well u did m8, and u did it well

This is a little subtle compared to you previous Goodbyes. Nevertheless, I like it very much!

wow, thats really quite something mate, very nice indeed. Still think the astronaught should be closer to us, more visible and more part of the piece. The earth and moon is fantastic, and awesome brushing, brilliant. Maybe needs a bit more red/orange. Just a bit more, lol.
Other than that, cant fault it, really quite amazing,

WOWZER.........THIS IS AMAZING......althought i think that the "doomsday" feelling was kinda lost... the iminnent Goodbye.....
but anyways, it's sop amazing.....i wish i could do planets 1/10 of that realism....but with all that amazing realism i thinksome of the inherent chaos was lost....
